timber frame barns

traditional north american design      dropped tie beam      center aisle      common rafters

We are primarily timber frame carpenters.  We love old barns.  We like the way they look and the way they feel; a direct result of the way they are are built.  In the Northwest they are often the oldest buildings in rural counties.  Heavy timbers locked together with mortise and tenon joinery, they were built to last.  And given a good roof they have lasted.

We are recreating these barns; taking the best forms, designing them for your specific function and making sure they are properly engineered to last into the 22nd century.

Available in various roof configurations: traditional straight gable, gambrel, monitor.
